Selsey Pavilion

Status: Feasibility

Business Planning: Fourth Street

Building Services Engineer: Skelly & Couch

Cost Consultant: Bristow Consulting

The Selsey Pavilion, was built in 1913 as a venue to serve the local town of Selsey on the south coast.  Throughout its history it has been used as a cinema, theatre, army recruitment hall and lecture theatre, amongst other things.  The building closed to the public in 1974 and since 2007 the main hall has had little use, while a cafe serves the high street from the ground floor.

The feasibility study has looked at a number of options of differing scales of development.  The proposals look at how the building might better engage with the high street and provide a vibrant, welcoming venue for cinema, performance and many other community uses.
