Tom Wilson Studio is a small craft and design-led practice based in Bristol. The studio was set up in 2017 and continues to develop a portfolio of residential, cultural and education projects.
Developing a personal approach is central to the studio’s ethos, with a belief that the best design will come from collaboration. Each project is an opportunity to create something crafted and unique in response to the brief and the site.
The studio is committed to contributing to a more sustainable future. Very careful consideration is given to orientation, materials and construction, and the finished project's energy use.
Tom studied architecture at the University of Nottingham and the University of Brighton. On graduation, he worked for Theatre Projects Consultants, and then joined Haworth Tompkins in 2005, gaining ARB and RIBA accreditation from London Metropolitan University in 2007. During his 12 years at Haworth Tompkins, Tom amassed considerable experience and knowledge in all stages of architectural design and professional practice. Further details of Tom’s projects while at Haworth Tompkins can be found in the archive.
